For the book "Lasting Impressions" hosted by Necla Orhan, and Orhan Holding's Chairman & CEO Murat Orhan, the launch event was held at the Palais de France. Among the attendees were former State Minister and owner of Olay Media, Cavit Çağlar; Consul General of France, Olivier Gauvin; Consul of India, Mijito Vinito; Commercial Attaché of the Consulate General of Hungary, Anna Tamas; Deputy Consul General of Hungary, Carmen Csernelházi; Chairman of Pegasus Airlines, Mehmet Tevfik Nane; Territory Chairman of Shell Türkiye, Ahmet Erdem; and prominent figures from the world of photography, İbrahim Zaman and Professor Dr. Güler Ertan in addition to government officials, business leaders, and representatives from civil society organizations.
For the past 28 years, the Orhan Family, via the Orhan Education and Culture Foundation, has dedicated itself to supporting the education of youth, crucial to our society's future. With the unveiling of their new book, "Lasting Impressions" they have introduced the "Looking to the Future through the Lenses" education fund. Proceeds from the book will directly benefit this fund, supplemented by their ongoing donations and support. It has been announced that the fund supporting undergraduate and graduate photography students also received contributions from the guests.
Expressing delight in supporting young photographers through the "Looking to the Future through the Lenses" education fund, Orhan Holding Board Member Necla Orhan remarked, "I have a passion for photography, the stories captured within each image, and the lasting impressions they leave on me." My fascination with photography ignited in the 1960s when a listener on the radio program "Unforgettable Memories" declared, "Photographs should be the first items rescued in a fire! This statement had a profound impact on my perspective towards photography and led me to pursue this art form. Our commitment to this art form is evident in our photography contest, now celebrating its 20th anniversary on the global stage. Launched a quarter century ago, the contest has been a platform for showcasing photographic talent. I am immensely gratified by the prospect of helping hundreds, perhaps thousands of young people pursue photography professionally, thanks to your support through this book," she said.
