The 19th International Photography Arena ... Silver Plaque
Recognized with a silver plaque by the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), awarded the Third Star by the Turkish Federation of Photographic Art (TFSF), and honored this year with the "Contribution to Culture and Art Award" from the Istanbul Amateur Photographers and Cinema Association (IFSAK), Orhan Holding will host the awards ceremony for the Orhan Holding International Photography Contest 2023 at Ninecim Art House on Saturday, December 16th.
Over the past 25 years, this contest has garnered international acclaim for 19 years in promoting the advancement of photographic art and photography, drawing nearly 7,000 photographers from across the globe.
The theme 'Rhythm' has been selected for the 19th Orhan Holding International Photography Contest. The contest was held in three categories: Color, Black and White, and Experimental. The jury of the 19th Orhan Holding International Photography Contest, which attracted a total of 7,179 photographs from 1,999 photographers representing 49 countries including Germany, India, Chile, Vietnam, Finland, Greece, Azerbaijan, Hungary, and Türkiye (164 participants with 1,064 photographs), convened on Saturday, November 11, 2023.The jury, consisting of Sefa Ulukan, Leyla Emektar, Meral Yazıcıoğlu, Nihat Küçük, Reha Bilir, Serkan Turaç, Özer Kamburoğlu, Necla Orhan, and Ayşen Küçüka, awarded prizes to 60 artworks and selected 21 others for exhibition.
Supported by TFSF and FIAP, the contest has seen over 7,000 artists participate since its inception twenty-five years ago. The contest, awarded the 'Silver Plaque' by FIAP, is closely followed by photographers worldwide.
The award-winning photographs will be on display, kicking off at Ninecim Art House from December 16, 2023 to January 8, 2024, followed by Tayyare Cultural Center from January 8 to January 13, 2024, and Tahirpaşa Mansion in Mudanya from January 13 to February 29, 2024, and BUFSAD from March 4 to March 25, 2024, İFSAK Istanbul Exhibition Hall from April 20 to May 2, 2024, and then at Konak Cultural Center from May 9 to May 22, 2024, before concluding at Taş Mektep Akademi Trilye from May 22 to June 30, 2024.
