HOW DID DOYENS SUCCEED?
İbrahim Orhan, a doyen of the Turkish economy has shared his secrets in “business” with the Capital Magazine.
“NO RISK, NO SUCCESS” One of the first rules of entrepreneurship is to be able to take risks.
And İbrahim Orhan, Honorary President of Orhan Holdings emphasizes that risk is very important for success by saying “Define your goal.Chose the thing you’d like to do and then focus on it" and adds “A person who does not take risks will not achieve anything. Remember, time is important and always use it right. Trust yourself. You have everything that successful people have. You have to arms, two hands, two eyes and most importantly a brain. If you think you will fail you have already failed. Success will come if you want it, and everything is in your brain. If you aim high, you need to think higher. Success is persistence, hard-working, good thinking, attitudes and calmness. Nothing is more important than persistence in the world. The world is filled with skilled, educated but unsuccessful people.Only persistence and decisiveness is absolute power. The fight between the river and the rock will always result in the success of the river. Not because it is strong but because it is persistent. Become an entrepreneur with the awareness of your power, but don’t be a adventurer. In every attempt in your work to develop something, think like a good merchant, a good economist, a good engineer and a good investor. Be honest, straight, show your respect and abide the community rules.
